Stateroom 7504 is a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom, category 9D, on Deck 7. It’s on the starboard side, forward, and it measures 218 square feet, which is noticeably larger than a standard oceanview. It sleeps up to four with a queen bed, a single sleeper sofa, and a murphy-style pull-down bed.
That extra square footage is the whole story with this room. Most cruise staterooms feel like a place to sleep and shower. This one felt like somewhere we could actually be.
The Layout, and Why the Murphy Bed Was a Win
We sailed as two adults with a twelve year old and a fifteen year old. The murphy bed turned out to be the star of the trip for us. My teens loved having their own sleeping space instead of sharing, and the layout gave everyone enough room to get ready without tripping over each other.
If you’ve been on a Disney ship before, you know about the split bathroom. It’s one small room with a toilet and sink, and a separate small room with a shower and sink. With four people trying to get to dinner at the same time, it makes a real difference. Two people can be getting ready at once.
The Honest Downsides

It’s a little dark. The window is a porthole style rather than a wide picture window, so the natural light is limited and the room lighting is on the dim side. If you’re someone who likes a bright, sunny space, this is worth weighing. For us it barely registered, because we were hardly in the room during daylight hours. We were at the pools, off the ship in port, at the shows, and eating our way through the ship.
The outlets are limited, especially near the sofa bed. If your kids are chargers-by-the-bed people, plan ahead with a cruise-approved power strip or USB hub.
About That Walkway Outside the Window
This is the most common question I get about 7504, and I understand why. There is a walkway outside the window, and yes, people do pass by.
Here’s what actually happened: we barely noticed. The people who walked past were headed to the very front of the ship, so it’s not a general thoroughfare where guests are lingering. The curtains handle privacy completely when you want it. It was a non-issue for our family, and I say that as someone who would have flagged it here if it had bothered us.
Was It Quiet?
Very. Deck 7 forward is not near the elevators, so we didn’t get the foot traffic and noise that comes with a midship location. If you’re a light sleeper, this part of the ship is worth considering on purpose.
I’ll be honest that forward staterooms can feel more ship motion than midship ones. We didn’t have an issue in August, but if you’re prone to seasickness, that’s a real consideration.
Should You Book a Guarantee Rate?
