During our last trip to Disney Springs we paid a visit to the Polite Pig. The Polite Pig opened back in 2017 and ever since has gotten rave reviews. The lines have always been so long when I visit that we’ve skipped it in lieu of other restaurants. This time, without kids in tow, we bit the bullet and jumped in line!
The restaurant isn’t your typical BBQ place, with modern lines and furniture and a beautiful bar!
The line actually moved pretty quickly (it would have moved quicker if the young adults in line had ordered together instead of ONE AT A TIME). Now the problem was…what to order?
Our struggle came as we were on Disney’s Dining Plan. While you could order a sandwich, you could NOT get a side with it even though it would often come out to less than an entree! I ordered the Brisket with a side of Mac and Cheese and a beer (I WILL be going back for those sweet potato tots!!). My best friend ordered the Brisket Melt with a cocktail. We were given a pager and went in search of a table. Looking for a great sit-down spot without finding your own table? Check out Tony’s Town Square!
The weather was so perfect that we opted to sit outside. Not windy, not rainy and low-mid 70’s. The only thing that made it better was the amazing food we were about to get!!
The brisket was tender and flavorful, the jalapeno cornbread was amazing with my beer but…oh my goodness that mac and cheese!!! My mom’s mac and cheese is the BEST and I don’t often order it at restaurants but that little ramekin definitely gave my mom a run for her money!!
Overall the meal was super delicious and we will be returning again and again!!! Check out our favorite table service restaurants!
