Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a chance for our fabulous little kids to be done up as a princess or a knight, and enjoy being royalty for a day. When my daughter turned three, I was probably the most excited mom ever, as I knew she was finally old enough to visit the boutique. There are two locations, inside Cinderella Castle, and at Disney Springs. This is our experience at the Disney Springs location.

Location

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is now over by the Once Upon a Toy store. It is a little bit of a walk from the bus drop off location, but it is an easy walk. While there is a chance that there will be some walk-up availability, the chances of that are slim. It is best to have a reservation, and you can book those starting at 180 day before your vacation.

Getting Started

After your reservation has been confirmed, they will start checking you in. You will be asked what package you would like. The packages range from $64.95 up to $400+. Every package includes a hair style, make-up, nail polish and a sash. If you are doing the knight package, the boys will get an awesome hairdo and a foam shield and sword.

We brought our own princess dress, but don’t let your little get dressed before you get there, they have a magical dressing room, where they can get changed. Then you will be led to a waiting area until your Fairy Godmother in Training is ready for you.

The Makeover

Your little prince or princess will be led to her chair and the transformation will begin. My little princess had chosen the fairy tale princess look, which is the traditional bun and tiara. The entire style time took only about 30 minutes. While the princessification is happening, there will be a photopass photographer taking pictures. The best picture happens when they show the little girl what they look like as a princess for the first time.

After the makeover is complete, you will be led to the Cinderella carriage for a mini photo shoot of your newly crowned princess.

After that photo opportunity, we were told to go to the photopass building where there was another photo shoot with fun backgrounds that matched the princess dress.

All of these photos were taken by the Photopass photographers and loaded into my account. If you are planning on a visit to the boutique, pre-buying Memory Maker means you don’t have to choose only one of these adorable pictures.

Life with a princess

My daughter loved being a princess, and embraced her new royal title, by waving to anyone and everyone on the way to the buses. The bus driver even had an announcement played on the bus, that everyone was in the presence of royalty. We went to the Magic Kingdom for the day and got some great photos. Many cast members would greet Zoe by calling her princess, which made her feel even more special.

The care instructions state that the hair should be removed for bed, we took our chances since we had breakfast with the princesses the next morning and it actually held up very well overnight.

It is safe to safe that Zoe loved her time and makeover from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. For the price I think it was well worth it as well. We walked away with not only the crown and sash, but the makeup they used on her, the brushes they used, face gems and a princess cinch bag to carry it all. Since the makeovers are for children up to 12 years of ages, I foresee this happening again in our future. If you are interested in visiting Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on your vacation, be sure to reach out to your Living with the Magic travel planner, as reservations fill up quickly.
