I’ve been holding off on this post, partially because I’m in denial and partially because it’s so emotional. If you know me then you know I’m a big Disney history buff.  When I found out that Disney had made the decision to close the Great Movie Ride I was shocked and saddened. Not only is this a huge part of Disney history but it was my home for 6 months in early 1999 when I was a Tour Guide at the attraction.

They are coming because they want to experience something special with the kids, help out or maybe even just get a way for a bit (even if it is Disney). A Day At Castaway Cay: Serenity Bay

One of my favorite places on Earth is at Castaway Cay, Disney’s Private Island located in the Bahamas.   In June of 2015 we were on an adult on vacation (sorry kids) and decided to splurge on a Private Cabana.  If you’ve read my posts before you’ll know that we aren’t beach people…we don’t like to sit around and well…relax! We like to be on the go!! So on cruises that stop in Castaway Cay we usually get off the ship, have lunch, wander around and then head back…looking for something to do! Well this trip was going to be a bit different!
