I’m Brittany Clark-Slaughter
Ever since I can remember, travel has been one of my top gift requests over material things. In high school, I begged for a multi-week trip across Europe. This was followed by a month-long trip to Costa Rica and numerous cruises and road trips sprinkled in between. Now, I live in the mountains of Central Virginia with my wife, son, and pets (including my son’s service dog). Up until very recently, I thought travel was out of the question considering my son’s special needs, but following COVID, we took the plunge to go on an all-out Disney vacation with a cruise following shortly after. I then realized that there are certain tricks to traveling with a special needs child that I want to pass on to other families!
Cruising with our son and service dog completely changed my life! I went from being scared of travel to booking multiple cruises in the upcoming year. If you are a family impacted by various disabilities and you want to cruise in luxury and style, then you have found the right person! I absolutely love cruising in a suite, specifically on Royal Caribbean. I have the procedures for various special needs down pat, including traveling with a service dog.

I have spent nearly fifteen years teaching in the public schools. A majority of my students over the years have had learning and/or physical disabilities. My experience in this field, along with my personal life, has allowed me to understand the needs and desires of these families. These families deserve the absolute best for their vacations. They say that a special needs parent can move mountains, and I can confirm this is true! I can’t wait to move mountains for your family!

Perfect getaway, and an exceptional travel advisor!
My family and I love to travel. We just got home from our 9th cruise, and this is our first time using a travel advisor. We shop cruise sites for fun, constantly looking at different dates/ships/rooms, and once we find what we want, we try to book it and just hope for this best. This time though, we told our TA (Brittany) what we were looking for and she did the rest. She found multiple options for us, answered every question we had (and some we didn’t know we had!) — Brittany made booking our trip a breeze! She checked in on us during our vacation and made sure everything was going well, which it was, and checked in again as soon as our cruise was over. We had it in our heads that travel advisors were probably out of the picture once the purchase was made, but that could not be further from the truth. Brittany is so good at what she does, we already have our next cruise booked! Our only regret is not using Brittany to help with all of our travel adventures sooner. 🙂
