My name is Megan and I am 19 years old. In March of this year, my mom, dad, brother, grandma, grandpa and I went on a Disney cruise.  My brother and I were surprised with the trip on Thanksgiving Day.

At first, I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to be able to do on the cruise. At Disney World, there are a ton of rides that older kids and adults can ride. There aren’t really rides on a cruise ship, so we were a bit skeptical. I feared that it would be a little too ‘kiddish’. But as we were getting closer to our sail date, I got more and more excited. We decided that we were going to do the dolphin interaction at Nassau. Dolphins have always been one of my favorite mammals, so I was very excited.

The day that we sailed away, we spent a lot of time exploring the ship. I loved walking around and seeing just how big this ship actually was.

The next day was our day on the island of Nassau. We headed over to Atlantis to do our dolphin interaction. We got to touch the dolphin, take pictures with him and watch him do some tricks.

Wednesday was our full day at sea. It was a nice relaxing day. We sat by the pool, played mini golf and even went down the AquaDuck a couple of times.

Thursday was my favorite day of the cruise. We spent all day on Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. This island was absolutely beautiful. We got really great spots on the beach right by some hammocks. The water was really nice to swim in. The water slide was also a lot of fun to go down. Later in the day, my brother, dad, grandpa and I rented some bikes to ride around the island for an hour.

All week the food was amazing. The servers we had were so funny, I looked forward to going to dinner each night. Our head server even made me some chicken alfredo that wasn’t on the menu. It was so good. Going on a Disney Cruise as an adult is a ton of fun and I seriously recommend everyone to go on a Disney Cruise.
