I’m so excited to finally be sharing our most recent cruise aboard the Disney Magic!  Our Disney Cruise set sail from New York City on October 24, 2018.  The cruise was 5 nights with a stop in Bermuda (2 nights).  I’ll be posting each day separately so be sure to follow along for the whole trip!

We actually arrived the night prior and stayed near the Newark Airport as my mom was joining us, and flying in.   Since we were driving it was super convenient and the next morning (after a few delays) the drive into Manhattan wasn’t too bad! The port was easy to park at and we paid $40 per night ($200 total).

The kids LOVED crossing the George Washington Bridge!

And before we knew it, we could see the ship in the distance!

We pulled in and were quickly directed to a booth to pay and then where to park. Everything is very close but it was COLD and WINDY!! We quickly unloaded our luggage and headed downstairs and inside the terminal for check-in.

It was a little after 11 a.m. and the terminal was very quiet. Our Port Arrival Time was 11:30 a.m. It was VERY quick getting through security and having our documentation checked. Up first, a photo!

After our photo we checked in to get our Key to the World Cards and my first official GOLD CASTAWAY CLUB MEMBER LANYARD!!

We didn’t have long to wait in the terminal before our number was called (13) and we were very ready to board the ship!

Our first stop was lunch! We had some pretty crummy pastries for breakfast and everyone was ready to eat! We decided on Lumiere’s vs. Cabana’s as it was a bit quieter and we wouldn’t have to deal with the kids AND a buffet!

Lunch started with an Empanada…

And then I was so hungry I didn’t take a picture of my lunch (pasta). The kids were SO excited so lunch didn’t last long!!!

We spent the next few hours touring the ship, including the kids clubs…which were completely empty!

I’ll be doing a separate post on JUST the kids clubs with photos and how it works! Our next stop was to head upstairs for some ice cream and for a view of the city!

EEK! The AquaDunk!!

Our first of many!

Look at the poor, freezing Lifeguard!!

It was COLD but just so beautiful!!!

Adult Only Pool!

One of my mother’s ONLY Photos this trip 🙂

We finally gave up and headed back inside to get warm! We toured the Adult Only areas as well as checking out the Theater’s. To say the girl’s were happy, would be an understatement

Soon enough our room was ready and it was time for the Muster Drill!  After we completed that (remember attendance is Mandatory) it was time for the sail away party!

Our departure was a bit delayed once the party ended but soon enough we were setting sail!  This was a bucket list item for my husband and I and it exceeded my expectations!!! It was FREEZING but so incredible to sail out of New York!

Soon enough was what we were all waiting for!

It was just incredible!

And before we knew it, New York was in our rear view mirror and we were off!!

A quick change for the show (we had late seating for dinner) and it was time for some Characters!

Our first show was Twice Charmed  and it was great! It’s not my favorite of all the shows but the girls LOVED it!!Dinner our first night was Lumiere’s!

I definitely didn’t remember photos every night but this was DELICIOUS!!! It was Deep Fried Brie with Cranberry Chutney.

The kids received their meals first as well as dessert. That when around 9:15, when the counselors showed up…they could be whisked off to the kids clubs!!

First Mickey Bar of the trip!

For the Grown Up’s… my husband LOVES Disney’s sundaes!

And I’m a sucker for souffle….especially the Grand Marnier kind!

It had been a long day and after grabbing the kids, we called it a night!!! The seas were very kind to us the first night and we all had a good night’s sleep!
